Maps on the iPhone

This article on GigaOM resonated with me. One of the better apps on the iPhone is Google Maps, having that available wherever Edge is available is really great and I use it regularly. The really nice thing about this app is that it caches the maps which means that they are still available when you are disconnected from the Edge for whatever reason.

On the other hand, the YouTube app does not work so well for me, it would be much, much better it is was able to cache any videos I bookmarked. Right now nothing is cached and you need to be connected to the internet via WiFi otherwise it is like sucking mud through a straw.
