Leopard

This weekend I managed to have a little time with the current beta release of Leopard, better known as Mac OS X 10.5.

I really like the way Apple has unified the look and feel of the windows on different applications, no more of weird and wonderful variations in look and feel across different applications. You can get a glimpse of what this unified look and feel looks like on this ThinkSecret screenshot gallery.

On the downside, work still needs to be done on the icons in the various toolbars, Safari for example has icons which differ in size, I am sure that this will get cleaned up in due course.

The system preferences got a reworks, notably the network preferences, which are much better, but the firewall seems to have disappeared from the sharing preferences.

Otherwise, it looks nice, I like it a lot.
