Brain Drain
Google is starting to face the challenge any successful startup faces once the stock options start to get fully vested.
This is pretty normal, people who get in early (typically the greatest risk takers) get fully vested and ask why they haul themselves to work every day for just a salary.
Some stay, some leave to take time off or do something completely different, or start new companies of their own. We saw it with AOL, Microsoft, Apple, eBay, Amazon, and so on and so forth.
Yet these companies still manage to attract and maintain talent, so I am sure Google will be able to as well.
